So tomorrow we are off to the Big Smoke to assemble for a ‘little’ stroll. The kit is packed, kinesiology taping learnt for knees/ankles/feet pain. Not sure I want to go near my big brothers feet though – hobbits and Gollom spring to mind.
The pit of my stomach is knotted with a mix of excitement, awe, gratitude and sheer terror at what is to come. Underpinning it all is the knowledge that I have no idea what the soldiers faced at the frontline I’m about to walk, without their sacrifice I couldn’t do this stroll
So here goes – 100kms – bring it on and eat my shorts!
